Are Dyson Vacuum Cleaners so Good?

by wpx_longboa1

Dyson vacuums have been causing a storm for quite some time, thanks to word-of-mouth and some unique designs that make their vacuums look like something from the future.

While everything sounds great, the reality is you don’t know if they’re for you, especially with some of the price tags of these vacuums.

The good thing is we’ve taken the time to review some of these vacuums for you if you’re wondering are Dyson cordless vacuums worth the money. The following information will help you figure that out for yourself.

4 Best Dyson Vacuums Reviews:

1. Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute Lightweight Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner

Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute Lightweight Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner

Read Reviews & Best Deal

Dyson V10 is definitely a high-end model that has everything you might expect from a Dyson. For example, it is quite easy to handle, thanks to its weight of only 5.9 pounds.

Handling is easy even over a medium-pile carpet, which is no easy feat.

The following is a simple pros and cons list that can help you see if this model is something you’re interested in and worth the price:

Pros:

  • The cleaning power of the device is impressive. It seems to pick up 25 percent more debris than previous models.
  • The vacuum's design makes it easy to operate.
  • It is a cordless vacuum, and that's a positive thing, but the battery also lasts for quite some time. You can expect up to an hour of power from this device.

Cons:

  • The device is quite pricey compared to other models
  • You have to hold down the trigger the whole time you're using the device. This can be a problem for folks who don't have the strength or ability to hold down the trigger while vacuuming
  • You have to remove the wand to empty the dust bin, and while it's not difficult to do so, it's not easy.

6 Easy Methods to Clean a Carpet Without a Vacuum Cleaner

by wpx_longboa1

Cleaning time is the least glamorous part of having a carpet. Carpeted areas tend to collect lots of loose debris, hair and dust particles. If you don’t have a vacuum cleaner or just want to keep the noise down, you may have to get creative.

In this article, we’re going to discuss a few easy ways of cleaning a carpet without a vacuum cleaner. We’ll talk about some great commercial solutions and a few DIY methods. Extreme stains may require a good soaking, but first let’s get into some dry cleaning methods.

Best Ways To Clean Carpet Without Vacuum Cleaner

1. Broom and Dustpan

Our favorite way to clean a rug without a vacuum is with a simple broom and dustpan.

Sweeping is the best way to remove loose debris and dirt from natural-fiber and low-pile rugs without making a ruckus.

It works especially well on sisal, seagrass and jute carpets.

clean rug without vacuum

If your broom’s bristles are too hard, you can damage your carpet. Use a broom with fine bristles that are stiff enough to dig deep into the carpet fibers.

Following Steps:

  • 1. Make sure you start with a clean broom. Beat it against an outside surface until it stops giving off a dust cloud.
  • 2. Sweep your carpet in a single direction to try to move all the dirt to one corner.
  • 3. Leave your dustpan close to that corner for easy pickup.
  • 4. Sweep all the dirt into a corner pile, and then scoop it up using the dustpan.

2. Cleaning with a Carpet Sweeper

Carpet sweepers are lightweight and small, which makes them perfect for quick cleaning jobs. They use a set of brushes that spin on rollers to flick dirt into an internal receptacle as you push the sweeper across your carpet.

Following Steps:

  • 1. Start by removing the biggest pieces of garbage by hand. Carpet sweepers handle smaller particles best. Move any electrical cords to the side so the rollers don’t get tangled.
  • 2. If your carpet smells bad, you can use baking soda to remove odors. Sprinkle a fine layer on your rug and leave it to sit for a while.
  • 3. Carpet sweepers work best with overlapping strokes. Move your sweeper forward and backward over your carpet in long strips. Once the brushes catch all the dirt and baking soda in one section, move to the next strip.
  • 4. Empty out the internal receptacle before it gets too full to keep the dirt from spilling out again.

3. Using Packaging Tape or Lint Roller

If your carpet is filled with pet hair or your hair, packaging tape or a lint roller will get rid of it rather than just pushing it around.

This method works best with fine carpets and small area rugs.

You can wrap packaging tape around your hand with the sticky side facing out to turn your arm into a lint roller.

Following Steps:

  • 1. Loose dirt will clog up your lint roller fast. Give your rug a quick shake or sweep to get rid of all the easiest surface particles.
  • 2. Rollers work best if you glide them over your carpet in smooth, straight strokes. Start in the dirtiest areas with lots of visible hair and particles, and then finish by giving the whole carpet a once-over.
  • 3. The worst part of lint rolling is replacing the sticky part when it gets full of gross carpet lint. When it no longer sticks, wad up the tape or roller sheet in a ball with the sticky, dirty side on the inside. Throw it away, and use a new sheet.

4. Clean with Carpet Stain Removers

Spot cleaning with a good carpet stain remover works great for small spills and stains. Whether you’re using a nifty commercial carpet cleaner solution or one of the specific DIY solutions below, always test it on a small section of carpet before lathering it on the whole thing.

To remove saliva, urine or blood stains, use hydrogen peroxide diluted in plenty of water. Stains from beer, wine and other alcoholic beverages respond well to a club soda solution. Greasy food will usually come off with just water and dish soap. Baking soda and vinegar mixed into water will take care of most other stains.

Following Steps:

  • 1. Fill an empty spray bottle with whatever carpet cleaner solution you’re using.
  • 2. Spray the solution on a damp cloth, sponge or brush, depending on the depth of the stain and the thickness of your carpet.
  • 3. Light stains respond to gentle blotting. Blot a few times, and then move to a new area of cloth. Don’t rub unless the stain is really in deep.
  • 4. To rinse, spray a fresh rag with clean cold water, and dab gently. Dry by dabbing with a dry cloth.
  • 5. Weigh down a few paper towels with a book, and leave them on the wet spot overnight to finish drying.

5. Beat the Rug

If your rug is small enough, you may not have to sweep it or scrub it at all. You might just be able to beat the dirt out of it. Beating your rug can be even more efficient than vacuuming it.

Following Steps:

  • 1. A stiff broom works best, but you can also use a tennis racket, a baseball bat or even your hand.
  • 2. We recommend taking this method outside to keep the dust out of your furniture.
  • 3. You can beat your rug on the floor, but hanging it someplace where it can swing a bit is better. A clothesline, porch railing or outdoor stair bannister works great.
  • 4. Whack the living daylights out of your rug until you can no longer see a dust cloud. This may take a while.

6. Washing Carpet with Bucket and Brush

Try to use a brush with bristles that aren’t too heavy to avoid messing up your carpet’s weave. If you don’t have a brush specifically made for carpets, you can use a kitchen scrubber or a nail brush.

Following Steps:

  • 1. Fill your bucket with warm water. Mix in several drops of dish or laundry soap to cut through grease and break up dirt particles. If you prefer to avoid soap, you can also use a touch of white vinegar, lemon juice from one lemon or bicarbonate of soda.
  • 2. Dip your brush in your cleaning solution, and scrub away! Perching on your hands and knees works best. This will take some time, so make sure to put on good music or an intriguing podcast.
  • 3. Once you’ve scrubbed every inch of rug, replace the sudsy solution in your bucket with clean water, and rinse all the soap or other cleaning agent out of your carpet.
  • 4. Leave your carpet in the sun or in front of a fan for a bit so it can dry out.

Summary

It’s easy to ruin a rug by using conflicting chemicals, harsh tools or a bad technique. Always read your carpet’s labels before trying any of the above solutions.

If the carpet cleaner solution you’re using can harm your skin, make sure to use gloves and rinse off any splashes that hit you.

When using one of our wet cleaning methods, it’s important to let your carpet dry thoroughly afterward. Carpets that stay damp for days will begin to stink.

Enjoy your carpet cleaning cardio!

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Vacuum

There are a few important factors to consider when you’re shopping for a robot vacuum cleaner for thick carpet that we need to go over, especially now that they’re quite popular.

The more you know about your high pile carpet and rugs, the better you’ll be at choosing the right robot vacuum cleaner, which is ultimately what you want to do.

best robot vacuum for thick carpet
Strong suction

For one, to make sure you can clean rugs thoroughly, you need strong suction. This will ensure you can clean the top and underside of any rugs in your home.

The reason you're doing this is that it'll help loosen up some of the debris that might be deep within the rug. When cleaning an area rug, dirt will likely fall under the carpet, so when you’re done, just vacuum the floor again. You don't have to do this all the time, but it's something you should do every so often.

Battery

Another factor you need to keep in mind is that the device you choose should be able to clean your entire rug or carpet without the need of constantly stopping. This means it should be able to charge quickly, and the battery should last a while.

High pile rugs tend to get worse the longer you go without cleaning them. Debris can get caught in the fibers quickly, so this is an important thing to keep in mind.

The other reason you want to worry about the battery or how long it takes to charge is that high pile rugs drain battery life. No matter what machine you have, the robot vacuum is going to require more power to navigate high pile rugs.

Noise Level

The noise factor is important, and if you've noticed, this list has a number of quiet machines, but there are a few that are quite noisy. This is definitely a problem you should keep in mind, but it may not be such a big deal.

The robot vacuum is programmable, and you can start it when you aren't at home. This means that whatever noise it makes won't bug you, so don’t let noise be the only reason you don’t purchase a particular model.

Of course, things change depending on your situation. If you work from home or have kids who need to complete their homework at home, then a loud vacuum could be too distracting at times.

It's obvious that there are a lot factors to keep in mind when shopping for the right robot vacuum to help maintain your high pile carpet or rug.

Still, all this work is worth it. Having a thick rug or carpet feels so comfortable and can keep you warm. These types of carpets or rugs look stunning, and they can even help dampen sound if noise pollution is a problem where you live.

In short, these carpets and rugs are worth the effort. Plus, the right robot vacuum should make maintenance a bit easier.

Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaners - FAQ

When someone is purchasing a robot vacuum to deal with their thick carpeting and their homes in general, they have a few questions. The good thing is I’ve done my research here and found answers to some of those common questions for you.

Does the Square Footage of my Home Matter?

Yes, it does matter, especially if you have plush carpet in every room. Most robot vacuums are only meant to take care of one or two rooms.

If your home is large, then you want to make sure that any vacuum you choose is labeled as a multi-room robot vacuum. This means that even if it runs out of juice it’s going to continue cleaning once it recharges. It may take a while to clean your whole house, but everything will get clean eventually.

Do You Need Wi-Fi to Operate the Robot Vacuum?

The answer is no. There are a number of models on this list that don’t need the internet to operate. You can simply program them. Of course, making sure they’re connected to the internet gives you a few perks.

You can set your device to clean from anywhere as long as you have your smartphone. It’s important to make sure your Wi-Fi signal is strong, so have that tested, and consider installing a few Wi-Fi signal boosters around your home to make sure your vacuum robot is always connected.

But, What About Allergies?

This is a big question, especially for those with family members who are sensitive. Well, there’s definitely enough robot vacuums, even for thicker carpets, with high-quality filters that can deal with pollen and other allergens. I mentioned some in this review.

The only thing you want to remember is making sure no one is around when you have to empty out the dust bin, just to be safe. You can do this task when everyone is gone or sleeping to prevent allergic reactions.

Conclusion

We are finally here, ready to tell you which one of these devices might be a good option. Of course, you will need to make the final decision on what you want to get.

Each person has his or her unique needs, but the Coredy R750 robot vacuum does seem like a pretty good bet. This machine has a lot of power, and it can mop and vacuum as well. It is quite expensive, and that’s a drawback that needs to be acknowledged. You may have to save up some of your money if you plan to pay cash for the item.

If money is a concern for you, then your best option might be the Yeedi K650 that has the power and lasts up to 130 minutes with every charge, which is pretty good even if it’s a bit cheaper. Hopefully, this information helps you feel more certain about the investment you’re about to make. Ask professionals if you have any other questions.

Factors to Consider When Buying the Vacuum with Retractable Cord

When purchasing a vacuum with a retractable cord, there are several factors that you should consider before making your final purchasing decision.

After all, vacuum cleaners are not all made the same, and you need to know what is most important to you first.

vacuum with retractable cord reviews
Upright Vacuum with Retractable Cord

Retractable cords are what we have focused on in this article, and it is important to make sure that a retractable cord is important for you. One of the biggest pros of choosing one of these types of vacuums is the convenience factor. The retractable cord makes it easier to maneuver the vacuum without constantly tripping over the cord. Plus, it will make it easier to store in a smaller area without the cord constantly unraveling and getting tangled with other things.

Filtration Systems

Another important factor that you should consider is the type of filtration system that the vacuum cleaner has if it includes one. This is especially important if you or others in your household have issues with allergies. A filtration system can assist with keeping allergies under control by picking up various allergens that can often get lost in dust deep inside carpets and other upholstery.

Bagless Vs Bag

There are upsides and downsides to purchasing a bagless vacuum or a bagged vacuum cleaner, and it usually comes down to personal preference. However, it is still important to consider to figure out which one is best for your individual needs. The bagless vacuum has a convenience factor of not having to constantly purchase and change out bags between every use. However, bagged vacuums will generally hold more dirt and debris before having to swap out to another bag. Usually, they can last for more than just one cleaning session, as well.

Noise Level

Depending on what type of home you have, noise should also be considered. If you own your own home, then noise might not be a huge issue, but if you live in an apartment or townhome that is connected directly to other people, then considering the noise volume of the vacuum cleaner that you purchase could be extremely important. Some vacuum models are naturally quieter than others, and if this is a concern of yours, you should look for a model that promotes itself as a quieter model.

Attachements and Tools

Attachments and tools are not a necessity, but they can make a huge difference when deciding between different vacuum models. It is always better to choose a vacuum cleaner that includes the attachments and tools you will need than worrying about purchasing them at a later date. Plus, this is usually less expensive than trying to purchase the same attachments and tools individually.

Flooring and Special Vacuuming Needs

Every home is different, and therefore, not all vacuums are designed for every home. Before choosing a vacuum cleaner, you want to think about the different flooring types that you will need to vacuum, and it is also important to consider if you will need to use the vacuum on other items like curtains or furniture. This could greatly change the vacuum model that you should purchase.

Final Tips to Consider

The best tip that we can give you is to make a running list of your needs and wants for a vacuum cleaner before looking at any reviews. Your needs are going to be different than other people, and you should never take on blind faith that a vacuum cleaner will meet all of your needs. All of the above factors will make excellent starting points for your checklist, but that doesn't mean it hits every point. Make sure you know what you are purchasing before making a final purchasing decision.

Conclusion

Now that you have viewed our reviews and read some of the factors that you should consider, we have concluded that the best vacuum with a retractable cord is the Eureka NEU182A PowerSpeed Lightweight Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner. This model is excellent for generalized use and has a lot of excellent features that meet most needs.

However, it is important to remember that our choice is generalized. You should make your own list to ensure that the vacuum cleaner you choose will meet all of your needs and not the needs of other people. This is the most important advice we can give without reviews, because no one has the same home, and therefore, no one will need the same vacuum cleaner.

Vacuuming your house every week is important!

by wpx_longboa1

Last updated on December 7th, 2020

You can probably think of a few exciting activities you’d rather be doing than vacuuming your house this weekend. You might convince yourself that the vacuum cleaner can wait. You’ll get to it another time.

It’s also likely that you’ll change your mind once you learn the health benefits a regular vacuuming schedule provides for your family. Unfortunately, there are health risks lurking inside your carpets and rugs and you can’t let too much time go by between cleanings.

How often should you vacuum? Let’s answer that question and reveal what it means if you fail to regularly remove allergens from carpeting.

Vacuum Cleaning Tips

How often should you vacuum?

The short answer is carpeting and rugs should be vacuumed at least twice every week. You might even consider pulling out the vacuum cleaner more often than that when it comes to keeping the most trafficked areas of the home clean and safe.

Do you own pets? If so, then you should seriously consider vacuuming the house every single day. You can’t see it, but your favorite kitty or dog is leaving behind the following items each day they move about your home:

  • Dander
  • Hair
  • Dirt
  • Microscopic allergens

How often should you clean your house? It needs to be either a daily or twice-weekly activity if your goal is keeping the environment safe from a health perspective.

You might be surprised to learn that every person in your family loses up to 100 hair strands and almost one million skin particles daily. Your pets leave behind allergens that stay strong for months.

The rugs and carpeting in your home are not only aesthetically pleasing. They also provide the functionality of keeping harmful contaminants out of your lungs by trapping pollutants in their fibers. However, all those contaminants and dirt get ground into the carpeting if you aren’t vacuuming often.

That’s why you need to vacuum at least twice every week. It lifts those allergens up out of the carpets for you. If you allow pollutants to get ground into the carpets over a long period of time, even a professional carpet cleaner will have difficulty removing them. Not only will your carpets become an eyesore, but a health hazard, as well.

Vacuuming Cleaning Techniques

Now you know how often to vacuum carpet. The next step is to make sure you know how to vacuum correctly.

Surprisingly, even professional carpet cleaners will sometimes apply their cleaning solution without starting out with a thorough vacuuming session. If you hire a carpet cleaning company, make sure you ask them to vacuum before starting the cleaning process. It will lift many pollutants up out of the fibers properly.

One of the best vacuum cleaner tips to keep in mind is the importance of taking your time.

Most of the dirt, grime, allergens and contaminants you’re trying to pull up out of the carpeting is effectively cleaned when pulling a vacuum backwards.

This means you should go slowly, push the vacuum into position and then pull back without rushing the process.

how often should you clean your house

Take care to move the vacuum cleaner around in multiple directions, pushing and pulling from various angles. This is a method that loosens dirt and pollutants in the best manner. Going slowly in this way is the best method to keep your carpets looking newer and cleaner.  It will also make them last longer.

Begin each vacuuming session by inspecting your cleaner’s brush bars and belts. Look for trapped debris and hair. Remove all of it so the vacuum cleaner can work at optimal efficiency.

Would you like to know one of the best vacuum cleaner tricks from a health perspective? Use a HEPA (high efficiency particulate air) filter or bag. This type will do a great job when it comes to keeping fine dirt particles trapped in the bag.

In fact, using non-HEPA machines might be dangerous to your health if they release too much of the allergens, bacteria, dander, pollen and dust back into the air. HEPA filters are what you need when it comes to removing all types of pollutants correctly.

Benefits of Vacuum Cleaning

There are many benefits of using a vacuum cleaner. Of course, you must get on the regular schedule of using it in order to realize all the potential benefits. Decide now to take the twice-weekly schedule to heart and begin implementing it in your home. One way to accomplish the goal is delegating the duty across each family member so no one feels overwhelmed with having the vacuuming work fall squarely on their shoulders.

You and your family will improve your psychological and physical health by getting busy with vacuum cleaning.

It’s a fact that keeping a clean home produces the most active, healthiest and happiest people. A University of Indiana study revealed that keeping your home clean is more important to your health than regular exercise.

How do you like that? It might not be as necessary to get on that treadmill as you once thought. You don’t need to become one of those gym rats to get yourself in better shape. Get that vacuum cleaner out, start using it and watch how much better you feel!

The social and psychological benefits of vacuuming are quite real:

  • Do you or family members suffer from allergies? If so, a regular vacuuming schedule will make the home a safer and healthier environment for all of you.
  • You’ll feel a greater sense of accomplishment when you see how clean your carpets look.
  • If you’re ever having a bad day, try getting out the vacuum and see if your mood lifts after getting something productive done.
  • It's likely that your level of overall motivation increases once you see a consistently clean home.

Eliminate Dust Mites

Another big benefit to a regular vacuuming schedule is the elimination of dust mites.

You can’t see these microscopic pests but it’s important to get rid of them.

Did you know dust mites lead directly to allergy attacks because of the feces and body fragments they leave behind?

how to vacuum

You must get rid of these little buggers if you want to improve the health conditions inside your home. Make sure you’re using a vacuum that does a good job of pulling them up out of the carpets. If your cleaner is old, then consider updating to a new one.

Provide Allergy Relief

When you allow carpets to get dirty, the result is the collection of dirt, dust, dander and other respiratory irritants that aggravate allergies. The result is more:

  • Coughing
  • Sneezing
  • Running noses

You should see all of these allergy conditions improve dramatically once you’re vacuuming the home each week.

Gives You Better Skin

How would you like to work on improving negative skin conditions you or family members might suffer from? The answer might not be expensive skincare products.

Instead, rashes, itching or other irritating skin conditions might come from that collection of dust, grime, dirt and contaminants inside your carpet’s fibers.

One way to make sure you’re picking up all potential pollutants that cause skin conditions is using all the attachments that come with your vacuum cleaner. This helps to get every surface area clean as you go about your vacuuming chores. For example, use attachments to clean:

  • Blinds
  • Window sills
  • Inside cupboards
  • Underneath furniture
  • Computer keyboards
  • Inside drawers

Your skin should start clearing up after a few quality vacuuming sessions.

Save Money

Regular vacuuming comes with positive financial advantages. It’s expensive to replace your carpeting. Think about all the money you can save by caring for your carpets and making them last as long as possible.

Another financial benefit is the improved health you achieve. When you’re no longer breathing those unhealthy pollutants, you won’t get sick as often. The result is a lessened chance of losing income when you need to stay home feeling ill. You might even save on medical expenses over the long term.

Making the Decision

You’ve asked, how often should you vacuum? Guess what? You now know the answer! You have a few decisions to make:

  • Will you take these tips seriously and get on a regular vacuuming schedule?
  • Will you work your family into the schedule so everyone helps the cause?
  • Will you invest in a better machine, if needed?

Take it easy on yourself here. It takes time to develop new habits. Start by simply making the next, best decision: Get out the vacuum and simply use if for 15 minutes. Practice doing it slowly and methodically.

The interesting thing with taking action is that it leads to more action. Before you know it, you’ll be moving from room to room and enjoying the process

Dyson V7 Motorhead Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner Review

Dyson V7 Motorhead Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner, Fuchsia (227591-01)

Features

  • Cordless & Rechargeable: The best part of having a cordless vacuum is not having to worry about tripping over wires, but inferior cordless vacuums won't stay charged long enough to clean the carpets throughout your home. Luckily, Dyson V7 has a half-hour charge on its battery, and it only takes 3.5 hours to recharge it for another round of use.
  • Innovative Design: Dyson V7 isn't your typical cordless vacuum. It has a removable handle, so you'll be able to clean off the floor mats in your car.
  • Easy to Empty: If you're tired of getting your hands dirty, it's time to upgrade to a vacuum with a disposal area that is easy to remove. The bin on Dyson V7 is designed with hygiene in mind.

This incredible stick vacuum from Dyson doesn’t require a cord to operate, and its charge lasts long enough to clean the floors of an average household. This vacuum has powerful suction capabilities, and it is an incredibly lightweight model to carry around your house.

What Customers Are Saying

Consumers have noted the performance of this vacuum in picking up debris is nearly the same as Shark Rocket Pro. Some consumers have claimed this one is the best vacuum for stairs because of the crevice tool attachment.

Pros:

  • The profile of the cleaning head for Dyson V7 is very low, so the advantage is that you'll be able to clean more dust bunnies from under your furniture.
  • Another reason why Dyson V7 is a top contender for the best cordless vacuum on the market is because it includes a wall mount for storage, so you'll be able to easily stow this vacuum in the closet. This feature is especially helpful for people who don't have a lot of additional storage space to begin with.

Cons:

  • Although 30 minutes of charge time is enough to clean the floors in a home with low traffic, this might be too little time to do deep cleaning procedures.
  • The manufacturers rate the charge time at 30 minutes for using a non-motorized cleaning tool, so it's even less time for using attachments to clean around your home. Additionally, the recharge time for both vacuums is the same.

The Bottom Line

Dyson V7 is a lightweight vacuum, and this vacuum has a unique design that makes it ideal for cleaning inside of your vehicle.

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Vacuum

Bissell has so many carpet cleaning products to choose from, each with a unique formula and a specific function. To choose the best Bissell rug cleaner solution, consider the following:

What Do You Want to Achieve?

Carpet cleaner solutions have different formulas, allowing them to do more than clean your carpets. You can choose one type based on what you need to achieve. Some of the times include:

• Stain Remover Solution – These are usually cleaning shampoos that loosen the stains and the dirt from your carpet. Some options remove specific stains such as food stains or pet stains, while others are versatile enough to remove all stains from the carpet. Most of the shampoos have a scent to leave the carpet smelling fresh, but you can choose one with no scent too.
• Cleaning and Odor-Controlling Solution – This type of a cleaning solution removes stain and controls the odor. The 2-in-1 formula makes it versatile and cost-effective. Bissell can either use their proprietary odor removal technology or can use antibacterial solution to remove odors. Choose an option that removes odors completely and not just mask them.
• Allergen Cleansing – This is for people with allergies. You can remove pollen and other allergens from your carpet to make your home fresh. Most of these products are free from fragrances and strong smells.

Is the Cleaning Solution Safe?

Most of the Bissell cleaning solutions come with EPA certification. This is a show that they are safe on people and the environment. Bissell also claims that the formula is free from phosphates, dyes, and heavy metals. However, you still need to look at the list of ingredients and instructions.

The list of ingredient in each solution is different, and you can search how safe the individual ingredients are before buying the product. You can also check the instructions for use. So many precautions might indicate that some ingredients are not safe for you.

How Do You Use the Cleaning Solution?

All the solutions above work with upright cleaners. However, a few only works with Bissell cleaners while other can work with different other brands. If you do not have a Bissell cleaner, shop for a cleaning solution that will work with your cleaner. Again, consider any preparations you need to carry out to make the solution ready for use.

Conclusion

I recommend the Bissell 2X Cleaning Solution for Pet Stain & Odor for you, thanks to its versatility. You can use it to clean your carpet and to control stains. You can use it with different cleaning machines and on a host of surfaces.

If the scent doesn’t impress you, you can go for the Bissell Antibacterial Pet Stain & Odor Plus, which does almost the same thing as the Bissell 2X, but has a less overpowering scent. Check out the products by clicking on the links above.

9 Best Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaners for Home:

1. DEWALT 18/20-Volt MAX Cordless/Corded Wet-Dry Vacuum

DEWALT 18/20-Volt MAX Cordless/Corded Wet-Dry Vacuum with Charger Kit and Bag
Read Reviews & Best Deal

The Dewalt Max Vacuum easily tops as the best shop vac for home use. It has the looks of a traditional model, although its specs prove anything but. Starting with the exterior, all the hallmarks for which the Dewalt brand is famous for are here. The yellow and black shell makes it stand out.

This is a cordless and corded vacuum, bundled with a Dewalt battery that can serve as a charger for other tools that are made by the same company. The AC cord is long, however. Cleaning is straightforward, just add a bit of water into the reservoir, some cleaning solution on the surface, and that’s it. Expect the battery’s duration to last for about 30 minutes on a full change.

What Customers Are Saying

Although suction power is very with the Dewalt Max, some users felt that using it on a battery didn’t deliver as much punch as expected. However, most won’t be able to tell the difference. It will pick up just about any common trash items that end up on the floor, whether that be hard floors, carpeted, or rugs. Highly recommended.

Pros:

  • Has the ability to be used on a cord or wireless
  • Cleaning is simple, whereby the debris container is dumped and rinsed
  • When going wireless, cleaning time lasts approximately 30 minutes

Cons:

  • Suction doesn't appear to be as powerful when using battery

2. Stanley SL18115P Wet/Dry Vacuum

Stanley SL18115P Wet/Dry Vacuum, 5 Gallon, 4 Horsepower, 4.0 HP AC, Black
Read Reviews & Best Deal

The Stanley SL18115P is another wet and dry vacuum that seems to feature things that are oftentimes lacking on similar products. For example, it might come as a surprise to find a DC adapter in the box when you open it for the first time.

If you’re unfamiliar with this, it means that you’ll be able to hook up the vacuum to your vehicle. And for this reason, the SL18115P is suggested for home and car interior cleaning.

A vacuum with a good, strong wheel is always a plus. With the SL18115P, all four are durable, capable of being pulled in any direction without risk of tipping over. The interior bowl varies in size, according to what’s chosen. The smallest is one gallon, with the largest being ten. This also includes horsepower, so consider getting one of the larger models if good suction power is a priority.

What Customers Are Saying

Based on feedback provided by those who have tried out the SL18115P, there are few controversies concerning its performance. You might find the hose to be a bit stiff, especially as it gets closer to the bowl of the vacuum.

As a result, storing it could be a problem if you aim to keep it fastened to the body. But for the most part, you’ll find the Stanley SL18115P to be a great tool in keeping your floors cleaned well. It’s a powerful wet and dry vacuum cleaner for heavy-duty cleaning jobs.

Pros:

  • Has both AC and DC inputs
  • Long cord length (12 ft max)
  • Strong wheels that don't wear down when stored on hard floors
  • Useful accessories included with vacuum

Cons:

  • The hose is bit too stiff

3. BISSELL Crosswave Pet Pro All in One Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner and Mop

BISSELL Crosswave Pet Pro All in One Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner and Mop for Hard Floors and Area Rugs, 2306A
Read Reviews & Best Deal

The Bissell Crosswave is a lightweight vacuum with good power behind the motor, built with durable parts that work as expected. Unlike the other two shown so far, this one doesn’t need to be pulled around, rather pushed. You can do this with one hand, thanks to the good handle at the top that doesn’t take much effort to push forward.

If you want a household wet dry vacuum that does the dirty work for you, then you’ll love the Crosswave’s self-cleaning feature. When you’re done, the brushes and pipes will flush themselves out, along with the reservoir. Of course, you’ll have to clean out the debris tank yourself, but this should take much effort to complete.

What Customers Are Saying

Power is decent on the Crosswave, and the brushed on the inside perform well at scooping up most debris. Still, some found it hard to pick up very fine pet hairs. While general hair will come up, it might take a bit more effort to suck up the shedding follicles of a cat or dog. Be prepared to make several passes when cleaning at an area that’s riddled with pet hair.

Pros:

  • The vacuum mechanism stops working to indicate when the tank must be emptied
  • Can clean itself out; takes less than five minutes to do
  • Two cleaning brushes are provided
  • Cleans both hard and carpet floors

Cons:

  • May not pick up the fine hairs of pets

4. Hoover FloorMate Deluxe Hard Floor Cleaner

Hoover FH40160PC FloorMate Deluxe Hard Floor Cleaner, Wet Dry Vacuum, Silver
Read Reviews & Best Deal

The Hoover FloorMate Deluxe is an upright wet and dry vacuum cleaner that’s grey/silver-colored, recommended for people with hardwood floors. You could also use it to clean tile and ceramic. It picks up spilled liquids without any issues, sucking it up into the dispensary until the mess is gone.

Sometimes, vacuuming can be a huge pain in the back. This can be exasperated if the vacuum in question has a handle that’s too low to the ground when tilted. The FloorMate has good height and reach, keeping your stature upright and free from pains when you’re done.

Another great feature is the fast drying perk, a setting that’s used to pass over the floors without water. Vacuuming in this manner all but wipes away any moisture after wet cleaning with solution.

What Customers Are Saying

The FloorMate can suck up almost anything, except for flat pieces of paper. While this might not be a problem for all, people with small, messy children might think differently. General consensus for the vacuum is that it works, has great suction power for solid objects, and is easy to set up when taken out of the box. As an affordable wet dry vacuum, it’s safe to say that you won’t be disappointed when settling for the Hoover FloorMate.

Pros:

  • Not a burden on the arms and back; handle has adequate length for most to avoid bending during cleaning sessions
  • Has a dry setting that leaves the treated areas of the floor almost completely dry
  • Can pick up heavier objects such as cereals, grains, and accumulations of dirt
  • Good tank capacity

Cons:

  • Small pieces of paper are difficult to pick up

5. CRAFTSMAN Vacuum

CRAFTSMAN CMXEVBE17595 16 Gallon 6.5 Peak HP Wet/Dry Vac, Heavy-Duty Shop Vacuum with Attachments
Read Reviews & Best Deal

Going back to the tub-shaped vacuums, the Craftsman CMXEVBE17595 has four wheels, with a spacious 16 gallons of holding capacity on the inside. Wheel it around freely; the unit will move in all directions that you travel during cleaning. There are two handles on the top and sides that you can use for lifting when dumping out the debris.

While you would want to hold the handle with more than one hand, this is possible to do during cleaning with the hose. A handle is built into the handle, made to accommodate both left and right-handed users. Read the instructional booklet before you begin cleaning, you’ll find that the vacuum will automatically turn off once the tank fills up to the max, alerting you that it must be cleaned.

What Customers Are Saying

Using the Craftsman CMXEVBE17595, you want strong suction power that can lift up deeply embedded stains and thick spills from carpeted or hard floors. As most that have tried it out can contest, it’s the best cheap wet and dry vacuum tough clean up jobs.

Pros:

  • The hose can be held with one hand easily, thanks to its embedded handle
  • Immediately shuts down when the tank is full
  • Rolls in all directions without tipping over when pulled by the cord

Cons:

  • Has a loud motor

6.BISSELL Crosswave All in One Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner and Mop

BISSELL Crosswave All in One Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner and Mop for Hard Floors and Area Rugs, 1785A, Green
Read Reviews & Best Deal

Bissell’s Crosswave is a wet and dry vacuum cleaner for carpet, usable as either a mop, vacuum, or both simultaneously. Because of all these perks, one might think that such a machine would be quite heavy. It’s actually very light, fitted with an extendable handle that’s comfortable to hold. The total weight of the vacuum is just 11 pounds, with a few ounces more once you add water.

It seems like some wet vacuums can consume an entire bottle of cleaning solution for you to get a single family-sized living space clean. That’s not the case with the Crosswave All in One. Add just a bit of cleaner into the reservoir; if you’re using concentrated, a few spoonfuls should suffice. After that, take out the tank and rise, storing it for later use. The vacuum itself is easy to keep in good shape, and comes apart/assembles in less than five minutes.

What Customers Are Saying

Although most users like the Crosswave’s ability to vacuum/mop with clean water, it’s going to be difficult for things to stay that way, depending on how messy your floor is. That’s because debris ends up in the water that you’re using to clean the floor with.

While this doesn’t have an effect on the floor being cleaned, it might stick to the tank’s body if you’re not cleaning it after every use. Try to get in the habit of always rising after every clean, and this shouldn’t be a problem.

Pros:

  • Lightweight; weighs only 11 pounds (without water)
  • Doesn't take much cleaner for floors to come clean with the vacuum
  • Quick assembly time (and just as easy to take apart)
  • Rinsing is all that's need to clean its parts

Cons:

  • Whatever is vacuumed ends up in the water that was used for washing, which can lead to a messy rinse afterwards

7. Tineco iFloor Complete Cordless Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner

Tineco iFloor Complete Cordless Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner and Mop, Powerful One-Step Cleaning for Hard Floors, Great for Sticky Messes and Pet Hair with Extra Accessories
Read Reviews & Best Deal

The Tineco iFloor Complete Cordless Vacuum Cleaner has a very modern design. It’s all white, highlighted by the transparent reservoirs along the center of the vacuum. It’s a wet dry vacuum for home use, recommended for people with pets. It will get up the stubborn pet hair that you see on your floors, along with shedding that you cannot see.

Although it’s ability to pick up pet hair is a plus, that’s not the only thing that the iFloor can do. If you have dried paint near the walls, it’ll pick it up as if it wasn’t stuck to the floor at all. This can be accomplished on either the battery or with AC power; it’s horsepower doesn’t let it when in operation without a wired electrical connection.

What Customers Are Saying

Lots of people that have tried the Tineco iFloor liked its wireless feature but found it odd that the battery itself can’t be removed. It’s embedded into the machine. However, there shouldn’t be any reason that most would need to remove it in the first place.

Pros:

  • Easily picks up dried paint
  • Good battery lifetime; lasts about 25 minutes
  • Can lift up inconspicuous pet hairs

Cons:

  • The cleaner doesn't reach all the way to a corner's edge
  • No removable battery

8. Coredy R750 Robot Vacuum Cleaner

Coredy R750 Robot Vacuum Cleaner, Compatible with Alexa, Mopping System, Boost Intellect, Virtual Boundary Supported, 2000Pa Suction, Super-Thin, Upgraded Robotic Vacuums, Cleans Hard Floor to Carpet
Read Reviews & Best Deal

When in need for something that’s completely automated, the Coredy R750 is the right vacuum for the cleaning job. One of the best robot wet & dry vacuum products around, you can control it from the comfort of your smartphone. Setup shouldn’t take that long and the application, named after the product, can be found on the iPhone’s Apps Store and Android Play Store.

The R750 cleans thoroughly and will touch every reachable portion of your floor. It can reach underneath your furniture as well, provided there is a clearance higher than 2.78 inches. Operation is very quiet; you might not even hear it running when it travels into separate rooms.

What Customers Are Saying

As others that have tried out the R750 have noted, be sure that your smartphone is compatible with 2.4 GHz devices. If not, you might not be able to connect it as advertised. You can find out this information by looking at a smartphone’s specifications in their respective “settings” menus.

The dust bin is also quite small, which shouldn’t be too much of a surprise given the size of the vacuum. Consider the R750 as a backup to use when you’re not in the mood for manual cleaning, or to clean individual sections of your household.

Pros:

  • Good switching in between rugs and hard floors, without getting jammed in the process
  • Compact enough to get underneath most sofas and other low-clearance furniture
  • Doesn't produce too much noise when powered on
  • Can be synchronized to a smartphone via WiFi, which can act as a remote control

Cons:

  • Small dust bin
  • The Application for linking the vacuum to smartphones, known as Coredy Robot, is not compatible with all WiFi-ready devices (works only with 2.4 GHz)

9. Hikeren 7Kpa Powerful Suction Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaner

Handheld Vacuum, Hikeren 7Kpa Powerful Suction Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaner, Handheld Vacuum Cordless with Quick Tech, Rechargeable Portable Handheld Vac with Stainless Steel HEPA Filter
Read Reviews & Best Deal

The final product is the Hikeren 7Kpa, a handheld vacuum with strong power that’s easy to maneuver. It can reach into corners very well, picking up all the debris that other larger vacuums have trouble reaching.

For a handheld device, this vacuum uses power at a snail’s pace. Which is a good thing mind you, particularly for people living in small apartments. Charging time is also very fast, and should take no longer than an hour to reach full capacity.

What Customers Are Saying

The majority of people that have vacuumed with the Hikeren had no issues with its handling or power. Its filter might be the biggest drawback, which is difficult to pull off. Unless you have long nails, prying it open might be easier to do with a flathead screwdriver, which runs the risk of damaging the product.

Take your time and it’ll eventually come off. Overall, if you’re in need of something that’s portable, the Hikeren is one of the top rated wet dry vacuums around.

Pros:

  • Uses battery power sparingly
  • Not a dust magnet; doesn't attach household dust on the outside when during the vacuum
  • Fast charging time

Cons:

  • The filter doesn't come off easily

Education

Wet/dry vacuums have become a standard, with some consumers preferring to use them over ordinary vacuums. They have even been used by NASA aboard space stations.

While you probably aren’t planning a trip outside of Earth anytime soon, you would love how quieter wet/dry vacuums are to their louder counterparts.

Most models, particularly those with capacities by the gallon, lift heavy duty materials from the ground. This includes paint, sawdust, and glass. The lighter models are better for general purpose household cleaning.

Factors to Consider When Buying a Wet/Dry Vac for Home Use

Large Models

Before deciding on which shop vac to buy, find out the way in which you intend to use the vacuum the most. If it's for general-purpose cleaning for your home's floors, then the lightweight wet/dry brands should serve you well.

But as mentioned previously, the larger models with wheels and large tubs are better suited for large homes or heavy duty cleaning. Many cleaning companies rely on these models, though you won't feel as if you have "too much" if you do choose one of the bigger models over the smaller reviewed. Keep in mind that the larger your vacuum is, the more space you'll need to store it. Thankfully, there are varied sizes to the tub wet/dry brands.

For example, some have a capacity of only one gallon, while others could go as high as 16 gallons. This will obviously show a difference in their sizing. More suction is provided by the big versions, whereby the motors must work harder to such up debris to accommodate for their size.

Mini shop vacs

On the other hand, mini shop vacs are all about saving you space and the burden of lifting heavy objects during cleaning time. And since many brands will clean themselves out near the brushes, there's nothing to dump out other than the debris tank. Feel free to use them on either carpeted floors or hardwood/tile. Based on its power, suction might not be sufficient to scoop up everything on carpeted surfaces. Check the devices horsepower or amps to find out.

Brand

If you've already looked at the reviews, you probably noticed that some vacuums have cleaning solutions which are produced by the same company. Unless it comes with the product, you don't have to use what's recommended by the company. You could find another that you like, one with a more desirable scent or effective result. Not all solutions will get out strong odors, such as those by pets. For that, you should consider one that's made specifically for this purpose, or create your own.

Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaners - FAQ

Will Lifting a Large Shop Vacuum Be Problematic?

If you’re disabled or purchasing a wet/dry vacuum for someone who is, then you might want to stick with a size that’s manageable to life. Better yet, try one that doesn’t need to be lifted at all. The shop vacs with tubs tend to require more physical effort to move around, both before, during, and after cleaning. Portable wet dry vac machines won’t have this issue at all, so consider them when heavy duty floor cleaning isn’t a necessity.

Does Power Change According to Wired/wireless Usage?

Although some wet/dry vacuums definitely appear to function better when plugged into an AC power outlet, most people wouldn’t be able to notice any difference. Just ensure that you begin to clean on a full battery. This will also allow you to keep the machine on longer, without taking break in between for recharges.

Which Vacs Are Best for Homes with Steps?

Look for a vacuum that has a good cord length, along with adequate length on the hose, when you want something that can reach steps. The longer the hose, the more reach you’ll have. For those that have four-wheeled tubs, always remember to leave it on a flat surface during cleaning. It could easily topple over if left on the steps.

Conclusion

Vacuums capable of cleaning with or without water are abundant, with many brands on the market for consumers to pick. This can make it hard to decide which is best for your individual preferences. Knowing this, it’s guaranteed that you’ll be satisfied if choosing one of the nine products featured in the above reviews.

But even out of these, there’s one which manages to have a combination of attributes that puts it ahead of the rest. This is the Dewalt Max Vacuum (the first product reviewed). It has good cord length, not too heavy for a shop vacuum, and is compatible with either 18 or 20-volt batteries.

However, not all wheeled vacuums are everyone’s cup of tea. The best vacuum cleaner (wet and dry) for home that’s lightweight is the Bissell Crosswave Pet Pro with its titanium build and strong combination of brush/suction power. But above all, go with the vacuum that you think is best. Buy now and get ready to have spotless floors once and for all!

Factors to Consider When Buying the Best Commercial Mop

Shopping for mops is straightforward enough, but there are still certain considerations to keep in mind before you make a decision.

Size

When it comes to commercial mops, they are typically a bit bigger than your average home mop. This is because they are meant to handle numerous rooms of various sizes.

In your case, you'll want a mop that is in proportion to the rooms you know you're going to clean. At the same time, you don't want something that is overly large as this may make it more awkward than anything else to manage. As such, its maneuverability can suffer, so your cleaning can suffer.

Coverage

On the discussion of size, coverage is another factor to look at. No matter the size of the mop head, the actual coverage can differ depending on what it's made from. Quality mop head materials ensure that your mop of choice covers plenty of space in a single motion.

By having a wider coverage area, you may be able to get the job done efficient and fast, which is always important in a professional setting.

Mop Head Materials

Some commercial mops feature cotton construction, some sort of synthetic cotton blend, or microfiber construction. Whatever the case may be, it helps if the material is designed to last so that you are not frequently replacing your mop.

Also, well-made material should leave behind a streak-free floor. If it is made from some sort of yarn, it should also be firm enough with a high ply rating like 4-ply so that it's stronger.

Absorbency

Another feature to keep in mind is how well the mop head absorbs liquid. You want to be able to do an efficient job, so it may help if there is a high level of absorbency. Be sure it doesn't weigh the mop down too much or drip everywhere and create a bigger mess.

Handle Options

The mop head isn't the only important area to look at. Consider the handle if it includes one. It should be easy to grip and maneuver with. Some are even adjustable to suit different users or to reach under furniture better.

Regardless, the mop head should secure well into the handle so you aren't stopping to constantly readjust it.

Making the Decision

From our top 10 picks, we feel the Professional Microfiber Mop is the best commercial mop available. It’s of sturdy construction, and it features an adjustable handle with a foam grip for convenience. The mop swivels well to get into tight spots, and it can be used wet or dry.

Factors to Consider When Buying the Best Vacuum for Pet Hair

Now that we have reviewed some of the best pet hair vacuums, on the market, we would like to explain some of the factors that we used to come to this conclusion.

Plus, these factors will help you to determine which of the above models will best suit your needs.

vacuum for pet hair reviews
Type of Vacuum Cleaner

There are several types of vacuum cleaners that you can choose from, and each one can be viable depending on your individual needs.

For instance, the upright vacuum style is excellent for people that have issues bending over, but the handheld vacuum and canister vacuum cleaners can make it easier to maneuver is harder to reach areas. However, when looking to pick up pet hair, upright and canister vacuum cleaners are recommended for the utility that their attachments provide.

Attachments and Special Features

One of the best and most important factors that should be considered when purchasing a pet hair vacuum cleaner is the type of attachments and access features that it comes with.

After all, some vacuum cleaners can pick up pet hair without attachments, but many of them have several types of attachments like hand tools, a hose, or specialized brush rolls that help to pull the hair out of carpet and upholstery.

Type of Pet You Own

Pets have different lengths of hair, which makes some of their hair easier to pull out of the carpet than others. Therefore, before purchasing a vacuum, you need to make sure that the vacuum cleaner you are looking at will be able to handle the amount and length of the hair that your pet sheds. If your family has any issues with allergies, then it might also be good to consider a vacuum cleaner that has a hypoallergenic filtering system.

Type of Flooring

This is one of the biggest considerations that you need to have. Some people have a single floor type throughout their home, while others have a mix of texters, pile count, or flooring types that all will need to be vacuumed. You also want to consider if your home has stairs or other points that might require a special tool to clean. Weight and maneuverability are a huge part of choosing your vacuum cleaner, as well, especially with homes with stairs or sharp corners.

Filtration Systems and Dirt Containers

Vacuum cleaners are an excellent way to help keep your home free of allergens that might come from your pets and their hair. Choosing a vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter is one way to help keep these allergens under control. After this, you should consider if you want a bag or bagless vacuum cleaner. They both have their advantages, but bagless vacuum cleaners are usually easier to keep clean and running when picking up larger quantities of pet hair.

All in all, there are many factors that you should consider, and these should all be considered before you look at any individual vacuum models. This will help to make your decision easier because you can weed out the models that will not meet your criteria and needs.

Conclusion

After all of our research on the above models, we have determined that the best vacuum for pet hair under $150 is the BISSELL Cleanview Rewind Pet Deluxe Upright Vacuum Cleaner. This model is an upright style vacuum cleaner that provides the best option for picking up hair, and it comes with several attachments that help to pick up pet hair from various flooring types.

That being said, this is just our personal recommendation for a generalized need for a pet hair vacuum, and we recommend that you make a list of what your needs are before starting your search. This will help to ensure that you make the best decision for your individual needs and home.

LG Cordzero A9 vs Dyson V10: Which Vacuum Cleaner Is Better?

by wpx_longboa1

Dyson is one of the most successful manufacturers of high-end stick vacuums. The company has produced high-end full-kitted stick vacuums that have dominated the industry, and the Dyson V10 is one of them.

When LG released the LG Cordzero A9 Ultimate, the Dyson V10 got a worthy competitor.

We tested the best sticky vacuum cleaners on different floors and carpet surfaces and eliminated most of them to remain with the LG CordZero V10 and Dyson V10.

Below is a head-to-head LG CordZero vs Dyson V10 comparison of these two models.

A Quick Glimpse of the Features of LG Cordzero A9 and Dyson V10

The LG Cordzero A9 and the Dyson V10 have so many features in common. These two offer the same suction power (140 AW), they are battery-powered, and they have a host of attachments.

The LG CordZero A9 is preferable when you need a longer lasting removable battery, a telescoping wand, and one-touch control. Its five-step filtration system keeps allergens locked in. The Dyson V10 also has so many strengths. Its modern design with a point-and-shoot trigger is easy to use and enhances battery efficiency. Its longer dustbin allows you to vacuum large areas without the need to empty the unit. The Dyson V10 warranty and the fast charging time are better than the LG CordZero A9.

The LG CordZero A9 is relatively expensive, but it comes with a few more attachments to cover the high cost.

Dimensions and Color

The V10 Absolute has a 25.6-ounce bin capacity against the A9 Ultimate’s 13.5-ounce capacity. Further, the V10 has a 49.17-inch handle, weighs 5.88 pounds, and cleans a path 10 inches wide. The A9 has a 44.1-inch handle, weighs 5.63 pounds, and cleans a path 10.2 inches wide.

Both units have a pivoting head, are bagless, and can convert to handheld units. The blue/copper V10 requires assembly out of the box while the gray A9 comes ready to use out-of-the-box. Both units lack a folding handle and a headlight.

Power/Battery

These two cordless vacuums run on lithium-ion batteries. The V10 has a 21.6V battery, which offers 60 minutes runtime while the A9 has a 25.55V battery, which offers 80 minutes run time on full power. While V10 charges in 210 minutes, the A9 charges in 380 minutes.

Both offer a 140-W suction, but the V1O loosens the dirt better to perfect cleaning.

Cleaning

Both units offer variable suction, allowing you to clean different surfaces. The V10 has a washable HEPA filter while the A9 offers an LG patented filter that is also washable. Both can clean pet hair and other allergens through cyclonic action.

They can also clean different surfaces, thanks to carpet height adjustment. The V10 has a full bin indicator, a feature that the A9 lacks. Both lack the self-cleaning and self-emptying features.

Attachments and Accessories

When it comes to attachments, both units have generous offerings, allowing you to clean more surfaces. They offer the following attachments and accessories:

• Pet brush
• Bare floor nozzle
• Dust brush
• Motorized brush
• Edge cleaner
• Crevice tool
• Wall mount
• Built-in attachment storage
• Upholstery brush

The only difference is that the A9 comes with an extension wand that allows you to clean different surfaces such as the ceiling.

Both vacuums can clean the same surfaces with the same power. They can clean carpets, rugs, tiles, hardwood, concrete, laminate, and vinyl.

Warranty

The Dyson V10 Absolute offers a 24-month warranty for all parts with no battery-specific warranty. On the other hand, the CordZero A9 Ultimate offers a 12-month warranty on the motor and a 12-month warranty for the battery.

V10 comes with UL certification as a guarantee of swift operation while the A9 has no certifications.

You will pay more for the A9, but the amount is not enough to overlook its extra features compared to the V10.

Dyson V10 Review

Read Reviews & Best Deal

The V10 sports a strong suction with 2-tier filtration system. Dyson has used radial cyclone filtration, and this is what the V10 offers. When set on max power, the V10 generates 140 AW (air watts) suction.

The manner in which dirt gets to the filtration system depends on the head attached, the power mode, and the suction mode.

The unit offers two cleaning heads:

  • Soft roller head that is ideal for hard floors
  • Motorized brushroll that uses a traditional agitation process to loosen dirt from soft surfaces

You can attach a small cleaning tool to your vacuum to clean different surfaces. There are different power modes to choose from when you need to increase or decrease the power mode of the vacuum. You can further breakdown the unit into a handheld vacuum.

Three Dyson V10 Models

The Dyson V10 has three models that are almost the same. They share a motor, battery, and they generate the same suction power. The models include:

  • Absolute is the best overall Dyson vacuum and has the largest dustbin and comes with the most number of accessories
  • Animal, which has a high number of accessories too (almost as many as the Absolute), and it has a large dustbin too
  • Motorhead has only the basic accessories and its dustbin is smaller

What Consumers Are Saying

Most consumers love the Dyson V10, thanks to its range of features at an affordable price. Most of the consumers praise the high suction power of the unit and the host of attachments available for the vacuum. The quiet operation and the ergonomic construction also make the Dyson V10 popular. However, some consumers complain of the battery – it lasts a relatively shorter period.

Pros:

  • Generous 24-month warranty
  • UL certification as a guarantee of quality
  • Relatively affordable
  • Faster battery charge time at 210 minutes vs 380 for the A9
  • Advanced HEPA filter

Cons:

  • The unit can feel awkward to hold when you need to clean high places as it lacks a telescoping wand
  • Its battery lasts for 60 minutes compared to the 80 minutes of the A9
  • Lacks self-cleaning and self-emptying convenience
  • You have to assemble the unit before use

Insights and Takeaways

Looking at LG vs Dyson vacuum comparison above, some of the features that matter when choosing sticky vacuums are weight, battery runtime, battery charge time, attachments and accessories, and ergonomics.

Lightweight vacuums are great for the elderly, people with back and shoulder pains, and people with mobility issues.

A unit with a long battery life comes in handy for everyone who wants to vacuum a large area without recharging the vacuum in between the vacuuming.

A good vacuum should offer at least 40 minutes of battery runtime.

Different attachments allow you to use a vacuum on different surfaces. For instance, if you clean ceilings and other higher surfaces, a vacuum with an extension wand comes in handy.

Other attachments allow you to clean upholstery, car interior, and so many other surfaces.
